Yesterday D K Patammal one of the trinities of carnatic music left for the heavenly abode and none of the Main stream Media channels deemed it fit to telecast the news. They would not mind to telecast some obscure item girl swearning profanities or what the yuvraaj ate for his breakfast day in day out.

For all the rubbish coverage on Michael Jackson's funeral, did any national/regional news channel highlight the death of DKP? Question, do they even know who DKP was?

Very true. They were more obsessed with micheals sexual orientation, his bhoot as well. :)
Thankfully NDTV reported the news yesterday morning, now that Hindu and NDTV are partners, may be they thought of reporting the same.
